Terms of Service

1. The service

Modatus prepares customized, downloadable AI packages using the model, instructions, and files you select. The $1,000 customized private-AI build includes configuration and private searchable knowledge but does not change model weights. A LoRA fine-tuning pilot or full-parameter fine-tuning engagement is included only when separately described, scoped, and priced in writing. Modatus does not promise that every model or result will be suitable for every task or device.

2. Your account and content

You must provide accurate information, protect your account, and have the rights and permissions needed for every file you upload. You may not submit unlawful content, malware, confidential information you are not authorized to use, or material that infringes another person’s rights.

You keep ownership of your original content. You authorize Modatus and its service providers to process that content only as needed to provide, secure, and support your requested build.

3. Payment and production

The customized private-AI build is currently $1,000. The LoRA fine-tuning offer is $3,000 and remains contact-based until production validation is complete. Full-parameter fine-tuning is estimated around $25,000 and requires a written custom quote. Estimates are not binding; the confirmed price and scope are shown before payment. Production begins only after payment is confirmed and any required file-transfer approvals are complete. Customized production typically takes 1–2 business days. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed deadline; unreadable files, required customer corrections, provider outages, safety review, or unusually complex builds may take longer.

4. Digital delivery and licenses

Delivery is electronic and no physical media is provided. Your package may contain or depend on open-source models and software governed by their own licenses. Those third-party licenses remain in effect and may limit particular uses or redistribution. Your purchase does not transfer ownership of third-party models or software to you.

5. Results and acceptable use

AI output can be incomplete or incorrect and must be reviewed before it is relied on. Modatus is not a substitute for legal, medical, financial, or other licensed professional advice. You are responsible for how you deploy and use the package and for complying with applicable law.

6. Refunds

All sales are final because each package is a customized digital product and production resources are committed after payment. Review the complete Refund & Delivery Policy before purchasing. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

7. Service limitations

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service and package are provided without guarantees of uninterrupted operation, compatibility beyond the stated minimum requirements, or a particular business outcome. Modatus is not liable for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential losses. Any direct liability is limited to the amount you paid for the affected build, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

8. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Use the contact form for support, delivery questions, or legal notices.
